This reminds me of the rumor I heard that after Dark Knight Rises WB/DC plans to option Batman to a premium Cable Channel as a Series.
– the theory being that the Nolan/Bale trilogy is so iconic/awesome now that any immediate reboot will be judged against it [especially any use of the Joker post-Ledger]and thus it would be doomed to fail, but if they go to TV they are ‘protected’ by being Apples and Oranges
If it’s half as epic as Game of Thrones or any of the other Premium Originals (Dexter, Deadwood, etc) it’ll be beyond amazing.
